A Field Test of the Ten-Year Boot

We sent one pair of boots up 4,000 miles of trail. What survived, what gave out, and what it taught us about buying less.

A Field Test of the Ten-Year Boot

Ten years is a long review. We bought the boots on a rainy Tuesday, resoled them twice, re-stitched the uppers once, and let the leather do what leather does best: conform, darken, and tell the truth.
